Marine Boiler Work

Every once in a while you are given a dream contract and our latest one came in the form
of a boiler for the Norwegian Royal Yacht "St Jernen"

The 56ft St Jernen was built in 1899 for King Oscar II. It was commandeered by the Germans during the second world war and later used as a timber barge and a houseboat before being partly sunk and forgotten. The yacht is now well on the way to being fully restored and will be relaunched later this year.

More pictures and a better description are on the way but here's a tantalising brief glimpse for now!

First came the tubes ....................

Then we added a bit more .......................

and a bit more .......................

And now some clips from the sequel - "St Jernen, the Engine"
The Engine from the St Jernen passed through our workshops for some minor adjustments.
